AEROSPACE: The Rebirth Payload - New Book Review - Monthly Chapter
I am writing the AEROSPACE:  The Rebirth Payload and publishing the story chapter by chapter on www.sailadybooks.blogspot.com.
This book is dedicated to Gail Rasmussen, a friend, an aerospace enthusiast, and whom is miss.

Please comment on the story or even how you think the story line should change.  Could this situation happen?  Any grammar or miss spellings.  You can even put information on Facebook account Sailady Books And Art.  I will be publishing a chapter each month to give you time to review the information.  Thank you ahead of time for any changes how small or big.

Introduction

NASA guards were on high alert since the awful events on the last space flight to the International Space Station. King Karl Ásgeirr’s ridiculous actions almost caused an International incident. He almost strangled Dalton to death. If not for Greg intervention, he would have done it.
The King went temporarily crazy with greed for the formula and me. At the same time on the ground in the payload room Dalton’s best friend, Ken, started to strangle me.
He would have been successful if not for Leona’s boyfriend David. Dalton felt helpless as he watched the whole incident on the International Space Station’s (ISS) camera 225 miles up in space. The whole situation was chaotic.
Who would have known Ken was up to his eyeballs in debt and espionage? I would have never guessed it in a million years that he was a villain. I never really liked Ken since I met him on Dalton’s sailboat but he seemed devoted to Dalton.
So did Leona. During her mind control days, she had tried to kill me. She had been mind-controlled. I wondered if Ken was mind-controlled.
I had met both Ken and Leona on Dalton’s sailboat while searching for a sailboat friend. Ironically, if it hadn’t been for Leona’s boyfriend David stepping in to protect me, I would have died at Ken’s hands.
What a turn of events. The whole bizarre situation sounded like a bad soap opera. The Micro-Encapsulation System (MECS) project personnel were intertwined into a sick pattern of greed and deception.

Chapter 1 – Child

A child’s crying woke me from a deep slumber. Sleepily, I thought I was in a dream, but the wailing grew louder and louder. I turned over to reach for my husband, Dalton, but found only emptiness on his side of the bed. My heart stopped and then started beating out of control. The child’s cries turned into heart wrenching screams. I bolted out of bed following the shrieks of the small infant. I blinked my eyes to see where my husband had gone. No signs of him anywhere. A lump formed in my throat. Where was Dalton and where was the crying child?

I slowly walked down the stairs. Shadows played on the walls making the staircase eerie. It was dark and I was afraid. The crying continued outside in the distance. I grabbed my coat and bolted out the front door. The icy wind blew briskly against my face making my eyes close instinctively. I still heard the desperate crying coming now from the neighborhood playground. I was crossing the street when someone threw my body onto the frozen sidewalk. A car zoomed by barely missing me. My muscles ached from the unexpected fall. My leg hurt dreadfully. I thought maybe it was broken. Who had knocked me over?

Then I heard a familiar voice, “Susan, are you OK?”

It was Dalton who pulled me out of danger. He had come to my rescue.

The agonizing pain in my leg caused tears to run down my cheeks. The tears were freezing on my face from the cold wind. The chill took hold of my body. I began shaking involuntarily. I could barely speak.

I finally asked, “Why are you outside?”

He said, “I heard an infant crying. The child continued to cry and it disturbed me. Each time I went toward the sound the crying would stop. Then it began in another direction. I did not know where to look. The whole ordeal is totally unreal and illogical. I saw you walking my way and heard a loud motor coming down the street. It was a dark blue car speeding toward you. It wasn’t slowing down at all. I ran as fast as I could to pull you to safety. I was lucky to catch you in time. Did you have your eyes closed?”

“Yes I did. The wind was so strong my eyes burned, so I closed my eyes to stop the stinging. Who would have known a car would be racing down our street? It just doesn’t make sense. I’m tired of us being a target,” I complained.

We continued our conversation as he helped me up to my feet. I limped back to the house with Dalton supporting my injured leg.

“I know. The strangest events don’t stop. Do you hear the infant now?” Dalton asked.

“I can’t hear the child at all,” I said.

“I don’t either. It’s really strange. Maybe we were in the same dream. I hope someone found child. Why would anyone take a baby outside into freezing weather?” I said as Dalton opened the door to our home.

“I don’t know? We’re getting out of this weird world and back to bed. It will be daylight soon and we have a very important meeting with the NASA Administrator, Charles Bogdan. He requested both our presence at 9 o’clock sharp. I don’t know what the subject is about, but I’m really curious,” Dalton said.

“No telling. I just hope its good news. Maybe you’re receiving another award or even a raise?”

Dalton replied, “One could hope.”

Yes, our meeting was with the highest NASA executive, Astronaut Charles Bogdan, who reported as the Science Director to the President of the United States. What did he want?
